Marketing Controller Vacancy

Helensburgh Motors have a forty year history having represented the Toyota brand since 1977. We offer a one-stop shop for new and used cars sale; vehicle servicing, parts, MoT and accident repairs based at our two sites in Helensburgh. We serve, the Dunbartonshire and Argyll & Bute areas, covering one of the largest geographical territories in the UK. Based at our John Street site and reporting to the MD, you’ll work with our sales and after sales departments to define and deliver their marketing plans, ensuring all activity is appropriate to current challenges and objectives, and executed to comply with manufacturers’ guidelines.

  5. Decision-making - situations are accurately assessed, pros and cons evaluated and decisions are taken with authority. Others are involved as and when appropriate.

As part of the management  team, you will be required to contribute to the company’s long growth and development.

Benefits will include contributory pension, company car scheme, 30 days holiday. 40 hour working week. Occasional weekend working. Salary commensurate with experience but likely to be in the region of £25,000-£29,000. Flexible hours considered.

Professional Experience:

Essential:

  • Previous marketing experience across varied disciplines or alternatively automotive experience with a demonstrable interest in marketing. 
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Analytical skills to identify opportunities
  • Knowledge of modern digital environment including social media, SEO, PPC, geo-targeting,
  • Commercial and customer focus

Preferred:

  • Experience of working within automotive sector.

Background:

Responsibilities:

  • Understand business challenges and opportunities and advise Senior Management on marketing solutions, both online and offline, across Retail/Fleet/Motability/After Sales/Accessories
  • Work within budgets and continually review/assess effectiveness spend
  • Undertake regular reviews of business performance in relation to marketing objectives using techniques such as google analytics.
  • Develop the company’s offline and online marketing strategy, considering both existing and conquest audiences.
  • Maintain and develop our websites, ensuring strong SEO
  • Maintain an engaging company presence on social media for Facebook, twitter etc.
  • Support development of lead generation initiatives, focused primarily on generating new prospects and conquest opportunities
  • Maintain and maximise the company’s database, monitoring lead generation, lead management and customer loyalty, encouraging follow up of all communications
  • Facilitate and co-ordinate offsite sales events and company promotions
  • Attend and present (where required) at company  and Manufacturer meetings
